New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve in the Moroccan desert 2023 / 2024

Day 12/29: Arrival in Marrakech – Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate

You will arrive in Marrakech, possibly at Menara International Airport.
From Marrakech, you will embark on a road trip to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, an ancient fortified village that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a famous setting for films and television series.
Then you will continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gate of the Desert”, where you will spend the night.

Day 12/30: Ouarzazate – Anti Atlas – Draa Valley – Tazarine – Merzouga

From Ouarzazate, you will head towards the Anti Atlas, an impressive mountain range.
Then, you will continue towards the Draa Valley, famous for its extensive palm groves and oases.
You will pass through Tazarine before reaching Merzouga, a small town at the gates of the Erg Chebbi desert.
In the afternoon, you could enjoy a camel ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes, and you will spend the night in a desert camp.

Day 12/31: Merzouga – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi (New Year’s Eve!!!)

In the morning, you will have the opportunity to explore the surroundings of Merzouga, visit the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music, and enjoy the local culture.
In the afternoon, you will prepare for the exciting New Year’s Eve celebration in the Erg Chebbi desert, with music, dancing, a delicious dinner and possibly a bonfire under the Sahara stars.

Day 1/1: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After an exciting New Year’s Eve night in the desert, you will head towards the Todra Gorges, impressive rock canyons in the Atlas Mountains.
You will continue towards the Dades Valley, known for its spectacular rock formations and desert landscapes.
You will spend the night in accommodation in the Dades Valley.

Day 2/1: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

From the Dades Valley, you will head to Skoura, an oasis famous for its palm groves and historic kasbahs.
You will then continue to Ouarzazate where you could visit the famous Kasbah Taourirt before returning to Marrakech.
The day will end with your arrival in Marrakech, where you can rest and enjoy your last nights in Morocco.
