7 Days Trip from Marrakech to the Desert. This 7-day trip from Marrakech to the desert is the perfect way to explore the Merzouga desert. You’ll begin your journey in Marrakech, where you’ll explore the city’s bustling souks and bustling markets. From there, you will then visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Dades Valley, where you can admire the stunning rock formations. Then you will continue to the Merzouga Sahara Desert, where you will spend two days exploring the vast sand dunes and learning about the unique culture of the Berber people. You will also have the opportunity to take a camel ride and spend a night in a traditional Berber camp. This trip is perfect for those looking to experience the beauty of the desert and learn more about Moroccan culture.

 

7 Days Trip from Marrakech to the Desert

 

Day 1: Marrakech

Pick up at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Depending on the time of arrival there will be the possibility of taking a first contact with the city taking the pulse to the Jamaa el Fna square, heart of the real Marrakech. Accommodation at the hotel.

Day 2: Marrakceh – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will start the route to Ourzazate. We will cross the High Atlas, the highest mountain range in North Africa, and visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will then continue to Ouarzazate, gateway to the Sahara Desert. Here we will visit the Cinema Museum and the Kasbah of Taourirt. We will spend the night in a hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Agdz – alnif merzouga

The desert Tour will take you to the stunning desert landscapes of the Sahara. You will start your day in Ouarzazate, we will drive to Agdz, a small town located at the edge of the Draa Valley. Here, you will explore the local markets and take in the stunning views of the surrounding desert. After lunch, we will continue your journey to Alnif and Rissani Finally, you will reach Merzouga, where you will spend the night in a traditional Berber camp. Here, you can enjoy a camel ride into the desert and watch the sunset over the dunes.

Day 4 : Merzouga Day trip

After breakfast we will leave the hotel to visit an Oasis of Merzouga. Then we follow the route to the village of Khamlia known for its inhabitants, original black musicians from Mali, and listen to their African music. We will leave from Khamlia towards Rissani where we will visit its old kasbahs and the market. In the afternoon we will return to Merzouga where we ride camels, we will cross the Erg-Chebbi to spend a magical night in the middle of the dunes under the starry sky. Dinner at the traditional camp (Bivouac) and lodging in Berber Camp.

Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

After brekfast and sunerise show we ride camel to Merzouga village, them  we will continue Erfoud to visit the mineral factories and old fossils. Next we will visit the city. We will arrive later to Tinghir and we will go to Todra Gorges crossing the Todra Valley with its palm grove, the largest in Morocco. Next we will visit the Gorges of Todra. We will rest for a tea and enjoy the mountain scenery. Free lunch After lunch we will return by the same road to the city to take again the road to Gorges of Dades. Dinner and accommodation in Hotel.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ourzazate – Marrakech

We will leave after the succulent breakfast to continue the route along a road planted with Kasbahs. After several stops we will go to the route of a thousand kasbahs, the Valley of Roses and the large palm grove of Skoura until we reach Ouarzazate. Then cross again the high Atlas (2,260 high) to reach Marrakech. Hotel accommodation.

 

Day 7: Marrakech – Airport

 After breakfast transfer to the airport and end of our services.
