5 days from Marrakech to Merzouga desert. Marrakech to Merzouga Desert is an exciting journey through the magnificent Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert. The journey will take you through breathtaking landscapes, ancient Berber villages and impressive desert dunes. The journey begins in Marrakech, you will cross the Atlas mountains admiring the snow-capped peaks on the way to visit the Ait ben haddou kasbah and the Dades and Todra gorges. You will then head to the vast desert of Merzouga, where you can explore sand dunes, oases and traditional Berber villages. After a night in the luxury desert, you will return to Marrakech via Zagora and the Draa Valley.
5 days from Marrakech to Merzouga desert
Day 1: Departure from Marrakech and visit of the tourist sites of southern Morocco (Kasabh Telouet and Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou)
You will start the day with a dawn departure from Marrakech to head towards the south of Morocco. You will visit the Kasbah of Telouet, a former residence of the Glaouis, and you will admire its magnificent gardens. Continue to the Ounila Valley, where you can admire the traditional houses and the green fields. You will also visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that offers spectacular views of the High Atlas. visit cinema studios. Finally, you will end the day in Ouarzazate where you will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 2: Discovery of the valley of roses – the visit of the Dadès gorges.
You will start your second day of travel by visiting Kasbah Taourirte and Amerhidil a Skoura, an ancient fortress built by the Glaouis to protect their wealth. You will continue your journey through the valleys towards the Valley of Roses, famous for its purple rose gardens that stretch as far as the eye can see. Then you visit the Dades Valley, a spectacular site of dramatic mountains. Finally, you will end the day at the Dades gorges. You will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 3: Tour of the Sahara desert and hike in the sand dunes
You will start your third day of travel with a trip to the Sahara Desert. You explore Boumalne Berber village and Tinghir, to arrive at the Todra gorges, Lunch and continuation to Erfoud, Visit the fossils then continuation to Merzouga You will explore the desert on camel back, admiring the magnificent views of the sand dunes. At the end of the day, you admire the sunset and spend the night in a luxury camp at Erg Chebbi dunes. Dinner around the campfire with a Berber music show.
Day 4: Visit Zagora
Your fourth and last day of travel begins with a departure from Merzouga towards Zagora. You will visit the ancient Berber cities and Kasbahs that are found in the area, offering breathtaking views of the landscape. You will also visit the Tamegroute museum which is known for its old library. Night in a local hotel.
Day 5: Return to Marrakech
Your last day of travel begins with a departure from Zagora to head towards Marrakech. You will travel through the Atlas Mountains. You will arrive in Marrakech and we will drop you off at your hotel.
