3 Day Trip from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert
Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Valley of Roses – Dades Gorges
We will get up in the morning and after breakfast we will leave from the hotel heading south passing the great mountains of ALTO ATLAS crossing the Tizin Tichka port of 2,260 m high. We will visit Ouarzazate and the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, we will continue our way crossing through the wonderful Valley of the Roses to sleep in the gorges of Dades. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast, we will resume the road to the desert of Merzouga, stopping to visit the palm grove of Tinehir and the spectacular Todra Gorges. We will continue to Erfoud, where we will visit a fossil factory. We will continue until we reach Merzouga. Before sunset, we will take the desert boats (Camels) to cross the Erg-Chebbi dunes in a 2-hour walk, towards the traditional haimas camp. in the middle of the dunes, where we will spend the night. On this tour we will stop to contemplate the sunset between the dunes. In the camp we can enjoy the stars and the moon, and the imposing silence of the desert. Dinner and accommodation in nomadic tents … a safe night that unforgettable!
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Draâ Valley – Marrakech
In the morning we will return with our camels to the lodge to take a hot shower and after breakfast we will leave from Merzouga towards the Rissani market. We will take a tour to visit the first imperial city of Morocco, it is the old market of the south of Morocco. Continue the road through the VALLE DEL DRAA and visit the Kasbah of TAMNOGALT in the middle of the Draa Valley. We will cross the High Atlas again to reach Marrakech at night.
